Id3 from TRW Id and Pico turns
your PC into an oscilloscope
Id3 is a 2-channel oscilloscope probes interface that adds capability
to TRW's revolutionary new internet diagnostic programme. The
perfect complement to the Id1 diagnostic interface, Id3 also connects
to your workshop PC, turning it into a tool that can measure and
test virtually all the electronic components and circuits on modern
vehicles.
How can I get Id3 ?
Simply choose the TRW Id 'Super' support package and a 2-channel
oscilloscope probes kit is provided with your Id diagnostic package.
Alternatively, you can buy Id3 as a 'stand alone' product from
our range of Id accessories.
What does Id3 cover ?
The Id3 oscilloscope probes give clear and accurate fault-finding
across systems that include: ignition (primary and secondary),
ignition pick-ups, injectors, fuel pumps, ABS, crank and cam sensors,
Lambda, AFM, knock and MAP sensors, timers and relays, throttle
and other potentiometers, temperature sensors, charging and starting
readings and CAN bus activity.
Easily capture large and complex waveforms
The 512,000 sample buffer of the Id3 automotive oscilloscope probes
allow complex waveforms to be captured in great detail
even if they last for long periods of time; whilst the high, 12
bit, resolution makes it possible to expand the captured waveform
to allow you to examine every last detail of the waveform.
Fast and easy to use oscilloscope probes
Just plug your Id3 oscilloscope probes kit into the USB port on
any standard Windows based PC, load the supplied software, and
then simply select the component/system to be tested from a drop
down menu. The software will automatically configure the oscilloscope
probes for you as well as give you advice on what the waveform
should look like, and general technical information on the item
being tested.
Looking at unknown signals is also quick and easy thanks to Id's
autosetup function: simply click the autosetup button and the
Id3 oscilloscope probes will automatically set up the timebase,
channels and trigger configuration to display any signals that
it finds on the oscilloscope's inputs.
